ABOUT
Who is behind Topsana Jewelry?
I’m Cynthia — a trained goldsmith, designer, and the founder of Topsana Jewelry.
My journey started because I couldn’t find jewelry that felt right to me – in shape, in material, in function. And honestly, I often couldn’t afford the kind of pieces I liked. So I started making my own. What started as a personal need gradually became a creative practice.
During my apprenticeship as a goldsmith, I built my own label from the ground up. Along the way, I worked with other creatives — stylists, photographers, artists — exploring ideas that live somewhere between jewelry, fashion, and art. That space between disciplines is where I feel most at home.
Most of my pieces are made from recycled silver. Many are designed to move — to spin, twist, and invite touch.
This comes from something deeply personal: repetitive hand movements help calm my mind. That need became part of my design process. My jewelry is meant to be felt and to interact – not just worn.
The shapes I create carry memory: coral, shells, and the ocean from my childhood in Cuba. At the same time, they speak to the present: the rawness of piercings, the intimacy of subcultures, and the freedom of self-expression.
My work is often bold — sometimes heavy, sometimes quiet — but always connected to the body. To movement. To feeling. To play.
For me, Topsana Jewelry is about crafting pieces that mean more than just adornment.
